| Have YOU got a penfriend? One of MY friends who lives in a faraway country from me, is my friend Catpaw. Catpaw lives in Toronto in Canada! It is Catpaw's job to be grumpy, hate noise and fix computers. It is my job to be kind and helpful, learn new things, and love food. Together we are going to be a FROGTASTIC team! |
Catpaw introduced me to his friend Bonnie who lives nearby. He's great! I think he looks a bit like our stranger character Mashy Niblik - what do YOU think? |

| Catpaw's job has said that I can help him fix computers! He has given me my very own screwdriver - FROGTASTIC! I can't WAIT to get started - screwdrivers are AWESOME! Maybe there are other things I can fix with my new screwdriver - like Catpaw's grumpiness? (Note from Bimmy - oh dear Catpaw, was that a good idea??) |
When you are away, it's good to know what is going on back home, so I checked into the Frogblogdoglog to find out what everyone is upto. Silliness - hurrah! Catpaw has said we can go exploring and that he will show me some interesting places, even a market where they make walnut cookies - YUM!! |
Watch this space for more pics of me having adventures in Toronto - well you can go and have your tea, but check out this page again another day to see what I'm upto!
Today at the Beach House, a letter arrived from Catpaw - it seems Frog Ted has been getting a bit TOO excited .....
Catpaw’s House
Toronto
Canada
I do owe all of you an apology for the screwdriver. I didn't think Frog would be so er... shall we say... enthusiastic about using it.
Although Frog has been a perfect house guest here in Toronto, he did go a bit overboard Friday night, but Bonnie and I didn't discover just how enthusiastic Frog was until breakfast.
We had a terrific storm here on Friday - thunder and lightening and rain! WOW a huge storm. I went off to bed early as did Bonnie the scottie dog. Frog asked if he could stay up and watch the storm for awhile - it really was frogtastic to watch! I didn't see any harm in letting him watch for awhile so let him.
Next morning, everything was bright and clear - a beautiful day to eat breadfast on the balcony. Frog and Bonnie took the jam and toast to the table, I brought the tea. We sat sipping tea and munching on toast chatting about the day ahead when we heard this dreadful noise ....
creak, crrreeaaaakkkkkkk, snap
Frog's chair began to wobble about a bit and he said "oh oh" and CRASH! Down went his chair. All we saw was this set of ears poking up up and this little voice saying "Oh dear! I wondered what all those extra screws were for."
Then another crrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, snick, CRASH.
Down went Bonnie.
Bonnie's voice drifted up from below the table "Um ... Frog ... is that why you stayed up last night?"
"I was curious! I wanted to know how the table and chairs went together"
"Table?"
Wobble, creaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkkk BOOM, down I went.
I was on the floor staring at both Frog and Bonnie. Frog was still munching on his toast, looking embarassed. "Did you say table, Frog?" He looked at the table and nodded.
Then the table began to sway a bit in the breeze. I held my breath as the legs slowly fell away and WHUMP came the table down to the ground. The jam pot flew into the air and upturned itself onto my head.
I wiped raspberry jam from my eyes and asked Frog:
"Just how many screws did you have left over?"
He blushed a very deep red and rummaged around in his little bag and brought out A LOT OF SCREWS!
"I didn't think I needed to put all of them back."
Bonnie slapped a paw to her head and mumbled "Oh Frog! You silly dog."
Frog began to giggle and looked at me "You look all sticky just like Ginger Jelly Cat!"
He rolled over onto his side laughing so hard he sputtered and snorted. Soon Bonnie and I were laughing as well.
HOWEVER... Frog had to put the table and chairs to gether using ALL the screws, with our help of course. He received a stern lecture on how to safely use the screwdriver and promised to never dismantle the balcony furniture again.
Catpaw - the sticky!
Youchers Grouchers!
What would happen in YOUR house if Frog had a screwdriver??
