Hello, it’s me, Frog Ted!
You’ll never guess what happened while I was waiting to give you a hug – I had an adventure!
Obi-Sven and Jelly invited me for a picnic at the Shire Horse Centre – frogtastic!
When we got there, it was quiet and empty.
“Youchers, is it closed?” I asked.
“Let’s go see!” said Obi.
The fields were empty. The stables were bolted.
“Oh, this is really ridiculous!” said Obi-Sven, Where IS everyone? Let’s go to the café, we’ll have lemonade until someone turns up.”
Now, I’m ALWAYS the first at a café! Youchers Grouchers – it was VERY untidy inside!
Empty packets and crumbs lay n the floor, no-one stood behind the counter. OH DEAR.
Then, I heard munching noises. STRANGE! Munching noises, but no-one munching – not even me!
A BIG CLATTER behind the counter made me take a look – YIKES!
Behind the counter, munching ALL THE BISCUITS was a VERY BIG PIG!
There’s a pig in the café!” I shouted.
Obi and Jelly arrived.
“OI! Mind your manners!” said VERY BIG PIG. “This is MY café, and visitors aren’t allowed. Go away!”
“Can’t we have some biscuits please?” asked Obi-Sven politely. She’s very good at that.
“These are MY biscuits, GO AWAY!” Pig replied, eating a whole packet in one go, and giving us all a mean look.
“Come on,” said Obi, “Let’s get out of here, quick!”
So we all legged it away from crosspatch PIG, running until we found an ice cream shop.
PHEW! The ice cream cheered us all up, especially Jelly, who was upset he didn’t get to ride a shire horse.
What a very funny shire horse centre with no shire horses!
Then I’d just got back here, when you arrived!
Shall we have some adventures together? I love hugs and picnics and books and everything! I can help you think of good stories too!
